Watched In The Loop. I walked in with not much optimism but this was pretty fun, as a clever combination of Veep and The Newsroom.
Gandolfini steals every scene he’s in, and seeing Capaldi in his element is fun too. The minor quips are really what sell this as a comedy, otherwise it is basically exactly like every government job I’ve had.
It leaned more on cursing than I’d like, but there was solid political humor here too.

1. “This is a sacred place! Now maybe you don’t believe that, and I don’t believe that, but by God it’s a useful hypocrisy.”
2. He calculates the number of troops using a child’s plastic calculator. It makes funny noises.
3. “Well, I don’t want to be accused of micro-managing, but I cannot understand why 'I Heart Huckabees' is on a list of DVDs considered suitable for armed-forces entertainment. That self-indulgent crap is not suitable for combat troops.”
