@griotspeak Good point. I tend to prefer dark, sci-fi, weird, but I still enjoy a healthy dose of absurd, high-energy shows and drama. I don't tend to go down the endless paths of #onepiece, etc. but I'll try anything once.

Fire Force because it feels pretty true to your initial description
TWWtUHM because it had heart overall. It wasn't *too* surprising overall but I still ended up really liking the characters.
Bungo season 1 was just kinda weird and fun. I haven't watched 2 yet.
