Was re-reading some articles today, in light of current events and where things are happening.

Here are some excerpts and a link to the original paper itself.

I want to emphasize at once that these are not consecutive terms from the dialog, I don’t want it to seem that these are specially composed parts, to form a certain narrative.

Another aspect that I would like to discuss is, does this information actually take place?

According to the DLD,In 2005, Pavel completed his studies at the Faculty of Military Affairs of St. Petersburg State University, specializing in propaganda and psychological warfare.

Could the fact of this education (if true) hint that the case may be more serious? Dual citizenship, espionage, disinformation? I understand that French Legion soldiers are present on the battlefield? Unfortunately my knowledge in this topic is limited, I would like to hear the opinion of more experienced people in these matters.

🧵 @TechCrunch An interesting addition to my observation, given that Ms. Whittaker has a degree in Rhetoric and English Literature, her dialogue style and tone will really catch on with a younger audience, a foundation for future progress in awareness of the difference between real private products and hyped loud broken ones.

🧵 ⚖️Stage 2. Illusion of freedom, feel what you can lose again and come back to negotiate.

He was released under judicial supervision with bail of five million euros and must report to the police twice a week + banned from leaving France.

Pavel was charged with the following:

conspiracy to administer an online platform to engage in illegal transactions as part of an organized group;

refusing to provide information requested by authorized authorities;

distribution of hacking software, distribution of pornographic images of minors by an organized group, distribution of narcotics, and aiding and abetting fraud by an organized group;

laundering of funds derived from the activities of an organized criminal group;

provision of cryptographic services aimed at ensuring confidentiality without mandatory declaration;

illegal provision and importation of cryptographic equipment.

According to AFP and France Info, in addition to the Telegram case, Paris is investigating Pavel Durov for abusing his son, who was born in 2017.
The case is not related to Durov's detention and he has not been questioned in the case. Irina Bolgar, the mother of Durov's three children, filed a lawsuit against the businessman in Switzerland.

EU authorities are also believing that Telegram may have understated the number of users in the EU to avoid complying with rules for large IT companies.
(appears to involve the Digital Services Act (DSA), the main law that governs internet platforms in the EU.)
