Nothing underscores "money can't buy happiness" quite like the degree to which Elon Musk needs people to think he's funny.

The richest man in the world just can't be satisfied unless a bunch of random people he doesn't know think he's a witty, humorous person, yet he happens to have been born a horrendously unfunny person.

He can never achieve contentment, because all the dollars in the world can't buy the one thing he needs: a sense of humor.

Elon Musk says he's learned a lesson

Elon Musk has deleted a post on X questioning why there have been no assassination attempts on President Joe Biden or Vice President Kamala Harris.

You'll notice a stark lack of the word "friend" in this tweet.

Just, "a group"

A group of what, Elon?

Employees. Employees that are laughing because they know if they don't laugh, you are confronted with your unfunniness in that moment and may lash out angrily and fire them.

Because you don't have actual friends. Employees, yes. Competitors, yep. Investors, sure. Sycophants, most definitely. But no friends.

Because nobody actually likes you. And nobody ever will.

I have a theory this is why he has so many Twitter alt accounts that get found out. On some level he knows that everyone who acts like he's hilarious is only doing it because they want something from him, so he keeps making new accounts hoping to prove to himself that when they become popular and people think they're funny it's because he's popular and funny.

But it never works out so he has to do weird shit like boosting them from his personal account to get attention for them.

Cuz he sucks.

@rodhilton oh, I think this is spot on. plus the reveal creates a moment for him as well
@mknepprath @rodhilton he's definitely a narcissist.
And yes, "a group" - of sycophants & yesmen. That's also why he thinks he's brilliant, as well as funny, and intelligent.
@rodhilton the video of him trying to be funny at that Dave Chapelle show and bombing horribly brings me great joy.
