Oh shit.
It's me.
Oh shit.
It's me.
Not gonna lie, this is the most attention a post I've made in a while and I am going to take a swing and toss my Extra Life fundraising page for Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital in the "Sweetest Place on Earth" Hershey Pa.
https://extra-life.org/participant/thetolsonator
It's a charity I've been very passionate about for 12 years and have had the opportunity to see first hand how much it has helped the sick and injured children that go through the hospital (and all of the other CMN hospitals)
For a vulnerable newborn with developing senses, the hospital environment can be full of harsh stimuli. The Giraffe Omnibed Warmers needed by our NICU are crucial for reducing stress in infants, ensuring that little bodies are kept warm and that temperatures are maintained under low-stress conditions while they continue to grow.
These warmers provide an ideal environment for infants with the most critical care needs, such as surgical patients and patients requiring mechanical ventilation. The bed has a built-in scale, meaning that these sensitive bodies do not need to be picked up and moved to a scale, but rather, can be weighed easily as they sleep. This allows the most vulnerable infants to grow peacefully with the least amount of stressful interference. Each bed is $25,000.
I'm almost half way to raising enough funds that could purchase one of these beds for a NICU baby.
Can we get to $12k (all-time) raised before the end of the year?
@thetolsonator @m I prefer to deploy Unicode glyph footnotes✶.
✶Because they're cleaner and distract the person only when they're ready to be distracted. Unlike me, who is PERMANENTLY DISTRACTED.
@tin that's my pseudo code at work. If I sent that around I'd get even more weird looks from my coworkers.
It just takes me half an hour to send a long form response, that's normal right?
Right? 😅
