Gas-lit in the chippy who said I asked for a plain burger, and then asked for another plain burger, when I wanted a double decker burger, and then a jumbo hot dog. When the order was finally completed (after what felt like decades), I asked if there was any difference in price to be told "no, the burgers still in there".

It put me in a right old mood not getting home til 6.40pm, and then my chips were cold.

Cold fish shop chips are wonderful, but not cold!
We always buy an extra portion (or 2) of chips on the rare occasions we visit the chippy. Let them go cold, spread them out on a baking sheet and freeze them. Next day put in a bag and keep in the freezer.
When you want some quick chips put the over (air frier) on 180 and heat a little duck/goose fat (POSH) or oil and throw a few chips in still frozen. 10 minutes for soggy chips, 12-14 mins for the crispiest, tastiest chips ever!
@ForgottenHero18 this sounds amazing!! We have a chippy just about 50 yards away from the house, so can get fresh any time, but the hours aren't good and they aren't open on Mondays, so this is definitely a plan. If I ever go back there.... #AWomanScorned
