welp, guess i'm posting here now.

i was giwake on cohost, i made a couple of silly posts that got some likes. my most recent popular post was this sprite art of the halo sniper rifle

i'm only here because i feel like i need to have *some* kind of online presence in order to promote future projects. the gun is at the back of my head.

god i miss the ability to make text bold.

@giwake Hey there and welcome! Some software and clients support markdown, so it's possible to use _bold_ and *italic*! (For example, for web, I use elk.zone which supports markdown.)

thankfully i don’t think mastodon displays the most cursed stuff though

@giwake some mastodon instances do let you perform formatting, but website boy has some weird opinions on making it part of vanilla mastodon

it's definitely not as flexible as cohost

  • but the usual stuff
  • is here

...if you are on an instance that lets you author it.

@giwake oh hey, it looks like peoplemaking.games is a Glitch instance. you should be able to activate HTML or Markdown authoring in your preferences
