The fewer pages there are on a website, the more domain names there are. The more domains, the more we depend on the Domain Name System (DNS) to find things, and the more money the DNS real estate industry makes.
But this isn't a property of DNS. It's a consequence of its commercialisation. Imagine libraries had to pay a license each year to use the Dewey Decimal System.
That's the horroshow of DNS.
