@itsfoss
Kate -> for quick script editing
Kdevelop -> for python and php
Geany -> for lightness and C++
Netbeans -> for java
@itsfoss Zed mostly, alongside Webstorm and Rider.
@itsfoss Trying to ditch Electron based editors, I recently switched to Helix.
@Merula @itsfoss why not electron based? If they're fast, stable and well equipped...
@niclas @itsfoss Not really fast, no. You should try a non-Electron editor, maybe something like Zed. It's really a big difference.
@Merula @itsfoss never tried zed. Will give it a go ๐Ÿ˜Š, but I suspect vim and codium will remain, too๐Ÿ˜
@itsfoss
micro for quick edits on config files and stuff
geany for more sophisticated projects
@itsfoss still can't quit vim, so I'm trapped in it

@itsfoss

Iโ€™m a #javascript dev.
#Vim all day, every day. On any platform.

@itsfoss vscodium

(Vim for the dirty little things. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ)

@itsfoss SciTE
It's small, fast, extensible with scripts and it's got a nice pane for script output.
@itsfoss
https://astronvim.com/ makes vim beginner friendly
AstroNvim

An aesthetically pleasing and feature-rich neovim config that is extensible and easy to use with a great set of plugins

AstroNvim
@itsfoss the keyboard has always made more of a difference for me. Being impacted by which IDE I use feels like only being able to drive certain makes/models of cars.
