2nd try with these chicken burgers, if I ever get them again, 5 minutes, then 4, buns on for 1 minute. Grill hotter than normal.✅. Maybe a spritz of oil would help with the leathery-ness. #LabourDayWeekend
The leather texture is because they are very low fat. I gave up trying to grill low fat poetry burgers and instead do them inside in a pan lined with parchment paper.
Spritz the paper lightly with coconut oil. When it is hot toss the burgers in and cook until you see the meat cooked about halfway through. Flip and when it is done and still juicy its ready.
I tried various marinades and so far the only way to make low fat poultry burgers somewhat juicy on the grill was to mix chopped onion in. But that is hard to do with store bought pattys.
