Just released an update to Reeder 5 which is basically just a name change. Reeder 5 is now Reeder Classic in the App Store (still Reeder when installed).

Sorry about this not being a real update. The plan is not to just leave it untouched in the App Store. Once the new Reeder is out, I'll hopefully have more time again to also work on updates for Reeder Classic and of course Mela.

To me, the new Reeder feels like a natural next step but I realize that not everyone will agree on that which is why both apps will coexist moving forward.
@rizzi Do you still not plan to add RSS services to the new Reeder? 🙄
@iRodknocker @rizzi This is the reason why I refuse to use the new app. I have everything set up in FreshRSS and can't use that in the new Reeder app. I really hope the classic Reeder will still get feature updates in the future, not just bug fixes and iOS compatibility updates.
@Saudumm @iRodknocker @rizzi you just described me. I hope Reeder Classic doesn’t get silently retired; it’s just so, so good for consuming RSS feeds
