Inspired by @Cat_LeFey's recent thread, what technology do you use that help you do magic or ritual?

My coven uses a battery powered speaker linked to an iPhone for music in ritual sometimes. It's a great and covert way to add to the atmosphere for us musically-challenged pagans.

@PeppermintGoddess I use music in ritual too, and I like to use headphones so it really surrounds me. Also, my cell phone is quite literally my Book of Shadows, and I consider it a magickal tool that I bless and cleanse within the ritual like my athame or wand.

I digitized everything back in 2009, cuz I had like 6 journals at that point and it was getting really difficult to keep everything organized and find what I needed.

@Cat_LeFey Being able to carry around your BoS as a phone would be handy. How do you store info? Pictures? lots of Notes? Or use a special app for info?
@PeppermintGoddess I have a couple different apps for the moon phase and astrology charts, but all my reference materials are in a giant Word document. I have it organized in “chapters” like holiday rituals, spells, correspondences, and gods. If I need to find something quick I can just use ‘control plus F’ to search the whole document.
I also use a journal app called Daily.io to track my tarot pulls and things because it is also easily searchable. Like, I can type in "Queen of Swords” and see all the other times I pulled that card.
@Cat_LeFey @PeppermintGoddess do make sure you have multiple backups, though!
@PeppermintGoddess @Cat_LeFey I have been to places where we used music off phones-especially using a Playlist with different tracks. Then using LED lights(especially if we want to reduce safety hazards with kids around).
