Freakshow: To get that grotesquely disrespectful thumb's-up photo opp at a veterans' grave, Trump campaign staff had a "physical altercation" with an Arlington Cemetery official. These people are TERRIFYING. https://www.npr.org/2024/08/27/nx-s1-5091154/trump-arlington-cemetery
@stevesilberman They are all reprehensible, but there is a special place in hell for Steven Cheung.
@keithnowak @stevesilberman '"Federal law prohibits political campaign or election-related activities within Army National Military Cemeteries, to include photographers, content creators or any other persons attending for purposes, or in direct support of a partisan political candidate's campaign," according to the statement. "Arlington National Cemetery reinforced and widely shared this law and its prohibitions with all participants."'
@stevesilberman I am a bit troubled by the framing. For me, the bigger issue is that they violated the rules against using the graves of recently lost Service Members for political purposes. The altercation is a byproduct of the violation, that occurred AFTER they ignored both written and verbal warnings. The massive and selfish disrespect for service members who gave their lives for this country is the REAL issue.
@stevesilberman The cancerous maggot wants it for an ad.
@stevesilberman no. They are not terrifying. They are pathetic and weak.

@stevesilberman
Hmm when can the Old Guard open fire?

@JonChevreau

@stevesilberman I've seen multiple people post this story now. all share the NPR link. is anyone else covering this?

@stevesilberman Jesus: "the cemetery official tried to prevent Trump staffers from filming and photographing in a section where recent U.S. casualties are buried..., known as Section 60.

"When the cemetery official tried to prevent Trump campaign staff from entering Section 60, campaign staff verbally abused and pushed the official aside...."
