@fabiscafe @Tionisla @ploum @signalapp That works perfectly fine using Signal Desktop and always did (or at least for many years). The phone is only required for inital setup or if you did not use the Desktop App in the last 30 days [1].
Are you confusing this with e.g. WhatsApp, that in the past required the phone to be connected at all times?
