The e-biking boomer thing has blown up even more than my last time bike touring. Half the trail was seniors on e-bikes, they basically weren’t there 5 years ago.
If I was working in towns neighbouring a rail trail I’d be very focused on asking them “what do we need to do to get you to ride down to the shops?”
It’s a game changing sized cohort of rich recreational cyclists if cities can get them riding a few kilometres off the trails.
