A full list of investors in Elon Musk’s Twitter deal was reported yesterday. One investor name that’s raising eyebrows is Sean “Diddy” Combs.

CHARACTER LIMIT, my and @mac_ryan_’s book, has a fun lil anecdote about Diddy’s investment. During the first week of his takeover, Musk joined a call with advertisers in an attempt to quell their fears. Here’s what Musk said to the head of Diddy’s media company, Revolt, over concerns of growing racism on the platform.
@kateaconger @mac_ryan_ Whomever builds a Twitter clone that replicates Twitter circa 2011 is going to win big. Reasonable moderation with a non invasive algorithm that delivers relevant content is the sweet spot. I think Threads is trying but they're overshadowed by general skepticism around Meta. Bluesky is something else that I can't really wrap my head around but it's not the same.
It seems like such a glaring opportunity to me as a market screaming to be properly served.
