@georgetakei The interesting thing with Melbourne is they are most often not looking for drugs, its food they are after. Biosecurity to protect agriculture is very serious business here. Is it wrong they generally profile flights arriving from China (for bag searches), as they tend to have a very high rate of failure to declare food products in their luggage?

@georgetakei I would also add that whilst I agree studies show drug detection dogs struggle to have a high accuracy, the same isn't true for bio security dogs looking for food. I'm curious if this American assumed they were searching for drugs, or does he know these are bio security dogs looking for plant material, fruit etc? And would that make any difference to his feelings of insult?
