I helped Kirk Goldsberry make this basketball globe that he just released for sale, my main job being to figure out how to project the map to match a template of each segment on the ball’s surface. And let me tell you, it turns out I have NO idea what I’m doing with map projections. (But trial-and-errored my way through, and it turned out pretty nice!)
