I had watched the film in class around 20 years ago, and was always curious about the novel.
It's fast, thrilling, and very well-written. Definitely enjoyed it.
Cons: the multitude of twists at the end, that didn't really feel very congruent with the info from before; and the constant sexualization of Sachs (though that justified Angelina Jolie getting the part).
