Nytt eksperiment: svartkvitfilm. Aldri prøvd før, så eg tenkte å byrje med ein billeg og enkel type. Denne rullen vart òg tatt med eit litt eldre objektiv, tidsriktig for kameraet.

Somewhat related to this post, I now have a sizeable stash of original Agfa APX 100 and 400, all expired around 2004. And some Jessop Pan 400 from the same time, which I haven't had time to research yet.

The package also came with one roll each of Gold 200, Fujicolor Super G Plus 200 and Superia 200. If anyone has any tips for shooting film that's 20 years old, either colour or b/w, I'm all ears.
@kraks, I have generally had decent luck in using expired b&w or C41 by adding a full stop of exposure for each full decade past expiry. IE: shoot ISO400 film expired in 2006 at EI200 and, if expired in 2004, drop that to EI100. At least, that's what I'll do with the first roll and then adjust based on results. Sometimes, particularly for c41, pushing a stop in dev is good as well.
Thanks, that corresponds roughly to what I'd picked up so far. I'll give it a go, just need to find a way to use a bunch of EI 100 (never mind EI 50 and 25!) film now that summer is already on its way out.
@kraks, it helps if you have a camera with a leaf shutter. I've managed hand held all the way down to 1/4s, although, in general, 1/15s is safer.
@kraks, E6 is a different kettle of fish. Currently, I start with no adjustment for the first 20 years, after which I'll add a stop of exposure while pulling a stop in dev.
@kraks, I should add that the lower the initial ISO/ASA rating, the longer the shelf life, at least with b&w. I shot a roll of 30 year old ISO25 at EI8 and it came out very overexposed.
That's useful to know! I don't have anything lower than ISO 100, but at least I can hope it'll be usable at either EI 25 or 50.
