@GottaLaff Howell, Michigan is not just klan history, but also a small town (10k pop) in a county that's part rural, part Detroit/Ann Arbor suburbs - those suburbs where Dems are making inroads. Livingston County is a place that's becoming wealthier, better educated, more developed, and more blue.
It makes Howell an even more pathetic rally site, IMO.
