Welp. I love my Pixel but I really dislike the Pixel Watch (my wife has one and loves hers, it's just a personal preference thing), but I always liked the Fitbit hardware. This has further cemented me in the Garmin ecosystem. #TeamPixel #TeamGarmin

Google says it won’t make more Fitbit smartwatches, Pixel Watch is the ‘next iteration’

Google has confirmed it won't be making any new Fitbit smartwatches as its attention has clearly moved on to Pixel Watch.

@maxamillion I had a lot of problems with #FitBit. I liked the Samsung Galaxy Fit line but they discontinued it (they supposedly released a third version but I've yet to see it available for sale anywhere). I've been using a Xiaomi Smart Band and haven't had many complaints with it. It integrates with Google Fit and the Bluetooth is more reliable than Samsung was.
@vwbusguy oh that's cool. I did like the Galaxy Fit line. I'm currently rocking a Garmin Vivoactive 5 and absolutely love it but I had hopes they'd make a Fitbit Versa or Sense form factor with WearOS.
@maxamillion Yeah, I'm not *enthusiastic* about the Xiaomi, but I'll just say that it's boring in the right places. It has good battery life, bluetooth is reliable, etc. My dad and brother swear by their Garmins.
@vwbusguy the Garmin is rock solid and I get a week and a half of battery life. The higher end ones go far beyond two weeks of battery but I don't need that or any of the extra stuff those models offer so I went for a cheaper option and still couldn't be happier.
@maxamillion @vwbusguy I've got a Venu 2, and it covers pretty much everything I want from a wearable. Fairly similar to the Vivoactive series, except for a couple features that make it a tolerable backup for my bike computer. But my wife bought into the Fitbit system, and somehow I can't see her upgrading to a Pixel Watch paired to her iPhone.
