GM reportedly cuts 1,000 jobs in its software and services division

GM cut 1,000 jobs, including 600 from its Detroit-area tech campus. It’s unclear what teams are affected, but the division includes Super Cruise, OnStar, infotainment, and more.

Is it possible that they made the cuts (in addition to creating larger profits) because they might be going back to CarPlay and AndroidPlay?

@vaasconner I would be surprised if those products replaced that much software development. Maybe it’s self driving car software on Cruise?
