@michaelgemar @Npars01 @mastodonmigration @lednaBM @GottaLaff You figure that people like him wouldn't want to live under a theocracy, but of course they would live ABOVE it, immune to its many, many strictures, like the sheikhs of Saudi Arabia.
They choose theocracy because theocracies are immune to popular uprisings, no matter how repressive they become. When has a theocracy EVER falllen to a popular revolution? I cannot think of a single example in recorded history.
