I visited the abandoned hyperloop site after defcon this year. It looked like they just left work one day and never came back. There was no security and the perimeter fence was open.

The site foreman for the powerplant next door didn't recognize my truck and said hi. Being isolated in the desert has gotta be a hard job.

@Risknc Would that tube be weather tight long term? Could be a pretty sweet house.

@choong yeah, weather tight for sure. Inside air sits at about the same.temp as outside and there aren't internal handles on the hatches so you could get locked in. It gets up to 130F outside in the desert there so... Not fun in the summer.

@Risknc I'm imagining using the sections, as-is in a straight line would be kind of inconvenient. Don't want to walk a mile inside my own house for a coffee refill.
