Nudeln Al Dente 🐘Has anyone in the history of #HibernoEnglish or #BritishEnglish ever used the word "cheque" to mean "the bill at a restaurant" or am I looking at a writer of #AmericanEnglish trying & failing at setting their scene outside of the US?
Kudos to them for Europeanifying the word "check" I suppose, but also an editor probably should have caught this. Do they still exist, editors?
