IFLS. TIL what a vein finder is. Incredible. The vein finder shines an IR light on your skin; hemoglobin in your veins absorbs the IR light; the vein finder measures absorbed vs. reflected light, and the projects that back onto your skin, thereby showing the veins under your skin. Very cool.

@VisualStuart It doesn't replace experienced phlebotomy skills, while it is most helpful for extremely challenging veins, we can't go replacing it fully. The technology has been around for well over a decade. Cost is still high for every hospital department to have one too.
