The city settled with the new organizations, agreeing to provide records that had been requested under the state’s Public Information Act, including body camera footage from all responding officers. Three other government agencies — the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District and the Uvalde County Sheriff’s Office — continue fighting not to release any records.

Maybe joking about the situation.
In the case that it was “just a joke”, the fact that his reaction to killing an innocent person was a callous, racist, joke still makes me want him to never be allowed to be a cop. That is the very minimum he should be removed from.
