EmpathicWorld@thekitmalone it feels like there are new and disgusting forms of misogyny brought to light every week. Yet the right still has a not insignificant portion of the female electorate in their camp. Some of this would feel shocking if it wasn't happening so often. The really sad part is that Vance and others like him don't have the excuse of being boomers and part of a generation where it was the norm
I mean, white women went 55% for Trump last cycle. Hope we'll do better this time around, but if so it's taken way too long.
@thekitmalone I hope you are right. It's frustrating when I've seen women in interviews say they won't vote for Harris because she's not smart.

@enriquericos You know - I think a lot of folks do. Particularly commenters who think of this as just "crazy shit ultra-conservatives say."
Personally, as a woman who *can't* bare children and whose demographic is the conservative go-to for "useless and ridiculous" ... it freezes my spine.
@thekitmalone weaponized pseudo-biology against trans people has to be the most harmful and obvious example of this problem nowadays. I wish it were an ultra-conservative thing, but this is transversal. I see subtle and not so subtle examples everywhere, dropped casually by people from all over the political spectrum. They don't connect the dots and don't see the atrocities these ideas can justify... it is chilling.
