Well... terrible news. The verdict was nonsensical (guilty on the most severe count, but not on the less serious, more relevant one).
This was self / community defense; certainly not felony riot.
I believe Azar's attorneys are going to appeal but it's not good. I have no concept of sentencing guidelines or what appeals process looks like, but I do know that the need for support only becomes more urgent now.
