Props to Elon for designing a vehicle so hideously ugly that I can pass it on the freeway in my dented-up 2006 kiwi-green Honda Element with the check engine light perpetually lit and still credibly point and laugh at the huge wanker in the shitty "truck"
@theropologist
You can also carry more stuff and more people in that Element
@ryansingel That's why I still have it lol. It's paid off, it's technically four-wheel drive, and I can pretty much fit anything in it.
@theropologist
My 2005 maroon Element with an always on needs maintenance light waves hello from the land of paid off
@ryansingel @theropologist
More respect, too.

@SpeakerToManagers
@theropologist

That saying a lot 'cause the element is just a boxy golf cart (spoken with as much love as possible) that other drivers scoff at

You know those signs on highway exchanges that say 45 mph and most drivers just add like 20 mph on top?

Element drivers see those signs and think "damn that feels pretty aggressive", and yell "everybody hold on"

If everyone drove an Element, there'd be so much less road rage

@theropologist
May I commend sir on his entirely appropriate use of of the British pejorative, though I humbly suggest that sir employ the more conventional "massive", in place of "huge".

("Massive", incidentally, remains the favoured amplifier for "dickhead", "twat" and the ever-dependable "bell end").

Carry on.

@theropologist protect that catalytic converter, immediately
@theropologist The Honda Element is superior to most really
@theropologist Searched and read about the Element and now I want one.

@theropologist This screenshot is from cartoon series Total Dramarama* - The episode is called Carmageddon and it came out late 2021!!!

*Available on BBC iPlayer.

@theropologist you could be driving a 1987 Yugo and still make fun of a Cybertruck, and no one is going to question it.

@theropologist

Yeah, saw one in real life for the first time on the highway just the other day, it does indeed look even dumber in person. My geeky programmer son described it as low-poly, plus worse.

@theropologist @the_etrain i saw my third one in the area the other day (Seriously? we're up to three?) and it looked like they did some white wrap or something on the doors and it looked even stupider. like a tea kettle with a shity paint job on the spout
@theropologist
But ... It's rumored that the Cybertruck will soon come with a flux capacitor.
@theropologist I pass them in my 230k miles Silverado with a tornado of dog hair and hay bits swirling above the peeling paint bed, and $2 in my wallet… and feel rather elegant by comparison. 🀣

@theropologist

[laughs at Elon while driving a '12 Hyundai with at least one dent visible from every angle, chipped paint, a nearly destroyed front bumper cover, rust spots, one huge gash from a downed tree collision, perpetual cat and transmission codes, coolant that likes to unsummon itself, two simultaneous oil leaks, and 2 engine replacements, one from flooding]

The one cybertruck around this town is ALREADY showing a few tiny bits of rust on it. I guess they really weren't meant for midwest weather.

(And before you ask: previous owner.)

@theropologist to be fair Honda holds its value better than tesla, and will be sought after collectible car. Prelude, crx and s2000 are there already.
@theropologist i had to look it up but honestly thats not even a bad looking car. certainly better than the cybertruck. but that is not saying much
@theropologist Yup 😁 Elon just don't know what quality or work is β€” he never even worked for any of his organizations β€” he just bought them
@theropologist The Element is awesome and it was a sad day when Honda decided to quit making them. Not that you are wrong in your comparison 😁
@acsawdey Oh no, I keep driving it because it's awesome. That and I had to spend about 3k rebuilding half the engine about 10 years ago so I'm driving this baby until the wheels fall off.
@theropologist This is the way with old Hondas. I have a 2001 civic with in excess of 300k miles on it.
