12/08/2024: Perseid Meteors over Stonehenge
@nasa_bot the exposure times for the different parts of the image vs. their lack of movement relative to one another don't seem to add up

@axel_hartmann @nasa_bot "A few nights ago, after the sky darkened, many images of meteors from this year's Perseids were captured separately and merged into a single frame."

APOD: 2024 August 12 – Perseid Meteors over Stonehenge

A different astronomy and space science related image is featured each day, along with a brief explanation.

@nasa_bot ...aaand missed again. Better luck next year!
@nasa_bot Even I know the Perseids and the milky way can only be seen in a very dark sky, not near the horizon at dawn or sunset. This has to be a layering of different images. Not what you'd expect from NASA.
