I always see “near me” as a suggested search but it seems superfluous?

I only ever search for things like that on maps.
Who the hell is searching for Wikipedia on Google Maps? Or for a restaurant on normal Google?

On the other hand, yesterday, I passed in front of a nightclub called “ice cream shop” in Portuguese. I found it a curious name and decided to find out more about the place, but it is actually impossible to Google it out.
Curious. Reminds me of a Russian oligarch that reportedly wanted to keep people from looking up his mega yacht online so he Named it “A”. But if you just Google “yacht A” you’ll find all sorts of information on it.
