Do voters care about #ClimateChange?

"The large majority of Americans would prefer government action on climate change, but that doesn't mean that they prioritize the issue when they're going into their polling place and voting."

A Pew poll says Americans put climate at low priority.

@CelloMomOnCars A lot of people in the west say they are in favour of action to fight climate change, and might even believe they are in favour of such action, but only in an abstract way. When confronted with action that affects personal privilege and lifestyle, they suddenly become less supportive of such action.

@Jgmeadows

You have a point.
Many people also don't see the connection between climate change and things that affect them personally, e.g. inflation in the grocery bills, and that their "lifestyle" is already being affected, e.g. if you have to stay indoors because of wildfire smoke.

We have a lot of dots to connect, see my reply to the post above.
