"Let people enjoy things" = block.

Even the creator of the comic wound up formally distancing himself from the sentiment when he realised the toxic social effects.

@Taskerland I've always hated that expression.

Even not seeing criticism is a valid part of art in any form, it's inherently selfish.

"We've spent all the arts money allocated on Woody Allen merchandise"
"That's madness, what about all the other stuff we said were going to do... "
"Let people enjoy their things.."

*suspiciously gun loading noises*

@Printdevil @Taskerland

That's fair, but I also think it's healthy not to assume everything is aimed at me as the target audience, either.

Sometimes, someone's going to make a Call of Duty game, and people other than me can enjoy it. That's fine, and I don't need to air my complaints about CoD because I simply don't enjoy it in the first place.

But yes, if there's suddenly a lack of choice because everyone is making CoD clones... then we have a problerm.

@matt That is my general problem in narrow siloes or limited resource situation someone is always having their parade rained on. @Taskerland
