@zachleat it's a place where people can experience different kinds of disabilities while using (a website) or interacting with something
They would wear glasses simulating certain visual impairments, such as cataracts or tunnel vision and are given tasks, like solving a maze or puzzle
Or use browser extensions simulating Parkinson's while booking tickets
It's a great way to introduce people to the topic of accessibility and can make it easier to relate
@zachleat not that I'm aware of, but I think big companies like Apple and Google have these, someone might have written about it
I recently participated in a workshop part of a tech festival in Germany where they had one and I will do the same at my work place
In my experience showing assistive technology and accessibility issues in real life had the biggest impact to change people's perspective on it
Way more than showing slides or videos or blog posts 🤗
