I'm with @audunmb

'it would be better to call these what happened the last week "attacks". There were clear targets and intent in the mobilization, not gatherings of people that turned violent due to provocations from the police or countergroups'!

exactly right - they were attacks!

#riots #farright

@ChrisMayLA6 @audunmb i have been struggling with what to call them

clearly not 'protests'

don't look like 'riots'

'attacks' is a much more accurate description. good choice.

@ChrisMayLA6 @audunmb Given that the police are institutionally rascist, and IMHO the government, I'd call them pogroms, akin to Kristallnacht.
@ChrisMayLA6 @audunmb And now evidence that a large number of them rioting already have a criminal record. Rent a mob aimed at violence.
@ChrisMayLA6 @audunmb I have it on unimpeachable authority from a Professor of Terrorism I know personally that what they weren't officially was terrorism though. This requires an aim and a purpose and a plan beyond simply spontaneously attacking something or someone. Those who are organising it, however, with arguable goals in mind, come closer to the legal definition.
