I’m old enough to remember when suggesting Joe Biden step down from the race was among the most treasonous things a person could do
@HeavenlyPossum Have you seen any of the people who were shouting that apologize? I sure haven't

@HeavenlyPossum

Ah yes... That time where I was a "maga troll" and a "russian asset"

@HeavenlyPossum "Everybody just stop criticizing Biden for any reason until November" was a thing I saw many people post. That's like. Not productive. Ignoring problems is not productive.

@HeavenlyPossum
I was on the "I think Biden sucks, but oh my fucking god, I don't want there to be a situation where a conservative Supreme Court gets to decide the election again" train.

I, for one, am very glad that my concerns seem to have been for nothing and that it doesn't look like there will be any legal issues that get fast tracked to the SC by hack Heritage Foundation judges. I'm still a little anxious that they're still going to try and rat-fuck this election through the courts, but I'm cautiously optimistic at this point.

@HeavenlyPossum I was wrong. I’ve never been happier to have been wrong.
@HeavenlyPossum The issue was not with the suggestion, it was with the nonexistant plan for an alternative. Headlessness and infighting after forcing Biden to step out would have been the worst scenario.

@cohentheblue

That might be true for you personally, but that was not the case for most of the people I encountered who held this position

@HeavenlyPossum Or maybe they just didn't explain themselves to you at length in the heat of the moment.
