Indycar (my one sports thing of interest) is moving to fox. And for general interest on the progression of streaming services: the cost of the online bundle to watch it is $43 a month. Introductory price.

I've been feeling negative about the effect of streaming for a while now, so I'm thinking (if I stay in the US for my post doc...) of reviving the lost art of PC TV tuner cards and DVR. Enjoy some cars going around in circles, PBS, and other stuffs with a building HDD library.

@DuncanIdaho11 The good news is, it's all on broadcast FOX ... like your local over-the-air station, from what I understand. Not FS1, or FS2 or whatever. That's the *one* thing that makes it a decent deal in my book.

I only hope they get a decent commentating team (at the very least *not* Paul Page or Eddie Cheever).

@JimRacer_77 I'm hoping they bring Hinch over. Maybe Townie but Lee is tied to NBC for sure.

Being on broadcast is why I'm looking at a PC TV tuner option (or a DVR box, but neither is really a well populated market atm...) There'll be more to watch with it too.

@DuncanIdaho11 The dream would be Varsha, Matchett, and Hobbs, but I have a feeling that Mr Hobbs (he's 85 now) probably won't be available.
