I got my Miyoo A30! It's adorable! Tons of weird little themes. Slightly hard to navigate, but I'll mostly live in Recent games anyway.
Decided to fire up Fire Emblem, it's too small a device for complex games but kinda chunky strat game should be fine.
Miyoo A30's 2/3 the size of my phone, screen's 1/3. But because it has actual goddamned buttons and a nice shell, it's much more immersive. I just vanished into it for an hour.
Same with the Anbernic when it's working, but it's so much bulkier.
I kinda blank out on just how very '80s Japan/medieval attitude about women Fire Emblem is. MC's a woman, second merc you recruit is a girl pegasus rider, but every bandit is like "don't kill the women, we can use & sell them!" Yikes.

Permadeath in a tac RPG is a harsh rule. I had to redo two fights so far, STILL IN THE TUTORIAL. Lost the pegasus girl and Dork-ass (Dorcas) failed utterly to be useful, so we got overrun and died.
I'm used to modern care bear game difficulty. But this is also from the start of overbearing tutorials that never end.
@mdhughes you should install Spruce OS on it for a better experience!
