Decided to try playing some #SamSho today. Found a room with a couple of Australians in and queued up. Except when the match ended, the other player never "OK'd" and the creator disbanded the room. Looking again I saw he recreated the room but now for one additional person and... Well... Okay then, sorry #FGC
@VileLasagna that used to happen a lot to me in older Arcsys games, people didn't really use the private slots option, but made rooms for 8 persons.
I guess that's a quirk that exists in every community :P
@dnis Particualrly trickier when you're in a place with as few players as Oceania. Just zero luck finding any matches, which is shame. Trying to KOF a bit, but can't potato enough to make the lil brick tun it, apparently. Might be somewhat Strive-locked for the time T_T
@dnis But speaking of Strive I do like a lot the structure they have for their multiplayer. With the tower and park with the battlestations you walk around in. Actually gives you an idea of how the servers are rather than sending a join request into the void and staring into nothing, hoping there's someone for it to reach
@VileLasagna previous games had similar systems, but they kinda did go unused in favor of player rooms, especially on PC.
There is always something about the lobbies that tends to drive experienced players away, but with Strive the lobby experience is better than the player room one for better or worse, at least if you're playing with random people.
Strive does have a big enough playerbase that I can hit the quick match shortcut and get a match even before the loading screen initiates.
@dnis I've been striving a lot, but it's been my main game for quite a while. Was hoping to play something different today but.... can't find anone in SamSho, KOF XV will need modding to potato down enough and Pocket Bravery seems to be having troubles with their online again. Zero luck, should've just bustered XD
