I think it’s a good idea to step back and look at JD Vance as part of the bigger picture:

• A national ban on abortion.
• Revoking no-fault divorce and gay marriage.
• Insults directed at childless women.
• Constant talk about the need for women to have more babies but not to allow immigrants in the country.
• Cult-like support for a man who is the walking definition of a misogynist.

Pete Buttigieg blasts JD Vance’s ‘strange worldview’ and bizarre GOP agenda

Pete Buttigieg joins to discuss Kamala Harris's vision for the country, JD Vance's bizarre comments railing against "childless cat ladies," and the importance of ensuring we never reelect Donald Trump to the Oval Office.

@TonyStark no one is talking about the horrible scenario of trump getting elected, expiring and Vance being president.
This is a full on possibility

@Bellison22 I mentioned it on day one and I’m sure a few others did- but more people could be talking about it.

Trump is obviously horrifying. Vance being one bad Trump old man heartbeat away from the presidency is equally so.

@TonyStark @Bellison22 Vance is 39 years old. Who knows what he actually believes since he has had a bunch of different views over the past 8 years, but I'll take him at his word that he'll try to implement the worst of the proposals. Unlike Trump, he's smart, if also gaffe-prone and awkward. He can never be allowed to get any closer to the levers of power than senator from Ohio, and preferably junior senator to the great Sherrod Brown for a good many years.
