I'm still thinking that Pete Buttigieg would help win the election this fall without disrupting anything by removing an elected Democrat from their office.
He's a veteran which is important to a lot of centrists and should be to everyone while we're in midst of this war(s).
His being gay will help generate excitement on the left plus will help generate voter turnout because so many people will say that America's not ready for a gay VP. We need Americans to be scared so more vote!
@GreenFire I don’t know how to communicate to bigots how amazing he is as a candidate but he is stellar and can go onto Fox News into the belly of the beast and slay every dragon

Plus, I didn't include it in my reply, but since we're already going to have bigotry against us this year I think it may be a perfect year to put a gay man on the ballot alongside a Black woman since we know that we've already got to counter the bigotry that we can't do anything about.

I have nothing whatsoever against Pete Buttigieg. I personally think he'd make a great VP. But I'm a far left liberal and not at all representative of the average American male. I don't even like team sports. Just as a nod to reality, putting Pete on the ticket would turn off a LOT of voters and gain none at all. I want to win. Mark Kelly would all but guarantee victory. Pete could easily cost us the election.

It's going to be interesting to see who the actual campaign experts with real experience decide along with the crucial question of who Kamala Harris feels will make the best VPOTUS instead of getting armchair analyses from pundits and such.
I am honest enough to acknowledge that I do not know who would be the best choice. I do not agree with your analysis, but who knows?
