I have an idea on how to "fix" the #Autobahn in #Germany:

1) "Left lane only" for high speed vehicles.
2) People who wish to drive fast will need an "#EZTag" they can only get after safety training. Speed w/o one and get a fine in the mail. #ThinkOutsideTheBox

Nah ...

1) Same speed limit for all Autobahn lanes.
2) People who wish to drive fast will need to visit Nürburgring or all the other race tracks in the country.

A majority IS in favor since a couple of years. But the mighty minority of fossilists in charge (including chancellor Scholz, finance minister Lindner and minister of transport Wissing) ignore that for their own reasons.

@davidzipper A majority of Germans is indeed pro a speed limit on Autobahn, but we have a minister of transport from the #fdp ignoring that demand and blocking it. This is also mentioned in the article.

So I consider that chances are low as long the FDP is in control of that.
