@benroyce @vantablack it's a drop in the bucket of the largest party in any democratically run country in the world against the second largest party of this kind, both with giant corporate and personal sponsors
what you could've done is put that money to the actual marginalized communities present here, for whom even 20-30 bucks would be a huge help
but hey you donated to a walking corporate interests amalgamation whose budgets far exceed what you can possibly imagine, and now you're going around defending your feels good activism benefiting practically nobody 🙂

I've been answering #mutualaid requests here for ~2 years and had answered one just 6 hours before those threads started I do an order of magnitude more on GoFundMe because it takes my credit card. If I answer fewer here, it's bc I don't do Venmo or CashApp and so few accept Paypal But also, I don't view #MastodonForHarris as a waste of money. Contrary to what that thread suggests, there are plenty of folks who give to both
