A gentle reminder when talking about about the presumptive Democratic nominee for President, from someone who doesn't talk politics here:

Referring to someone by their last name is generally a sign of respect. Referring to someone by their first name is generally a sign of intimacy. Consider how people have referred, in short form, to other nominees and Presidents:

Bush, Clinton, Gore, Bush, Kerry, Obama, Romney, McCain, Biden, Trump

And then

Hillary and Kamala

See a pattern?

*Harris* is running for President. Personally, until she invites me to use her first name, I'll be treating her with the same baseline level of respect I treat other Presidential candidates.

Maybe you should too.

@Impossible_PhD the transition was from @bidenHQ to @KamalaHQ so maybe you should reevaluate.
@Impossible_PhD they won't change that because it was Biden/Harris. No-one is saying you can't say Harris.
Factually, the official channel is also saying Kamala, so take in new information please. Or don't.
@kynyc @Impossible_PhD slight correction, it was bidenharrishq, now it’s kamalahq. While the official campaign name is Harris for President, she and her team have gone with the Kamala brand ever since she ran for Presidency in 2019 and her campaign account goes by her first name. Momala is a nickname she also goes by. Go by Harris or go by Kamala, if she goes by both, who are we to argue one over the other?
@aulia @Impossible_PhD Agreed and adding in OP, it's people who are on social media, why are you trying to guide their speech. Every US President in my life is a war criminal and I want Kamala to win, but I don't need to respect her past what every human deserves.
