FBI Director Tells Congress Agency Is Unsure if Bullet Actually Hit Trump
But I thought teleprompters were bad.
That was not the opinion Trump has given about them.
On Biden, from the article above:
“When you ask a question and then you see him read the answer off the teleprompter. That means he knows what’s going on. He’ll call—let’s see, they told me to ask so-and-so, to ask a question. It’s so sad for our country,” Trump said.
On Hillary Clinton:
“I don’t use teleprompters,” he said in January, criticizing Hillary Clinton for using one. “Wouldn’t that be easy, teleprompters? I watched Hillary the other day and she has the biggest teleprompters I’ve ever seen. In fact, if you’re sitting on that side of the room or that side of the room you can’t see her because when they are outside, they are painted black and you can’t even see her.”

On Obama:
You shouldn’t be allowed because you don’t know what you’re going to get. Look what happened with Obama who is a teleprompter guy. No, it’s true… […] You don’t want a scripted president.

On running for president in general:
“I’ve always said, if you run for president, you shouldn’t be allowed to use teleprompters,” Donald Trump said to applause at a rally last October in Georgia. “Because you don’t even know if the guy’s smart.”

Which he has said more than once:
“These other guys, they’re going around, they make a speech in front of 21 people. Nobody cares, they read the same speech…They have teleprompters,” Trump said at a campaign rally in August 2015. “I say we should outlaw teleprompters … for anybody running for president.”

In fact, he said it at least three times:
“I say we should outlaw teleprompters for anybody, right? For anybody running for president. Do you know how easy that would be? Instead of this. I’m working my a-- off, OK?” he said at an Aug. 25 Iowa speech.
Former President Donald Trump rallied voters in the scorching heat of Las Vegas. His campaign loaded up on water bottles, hired extra medics and allowed supporters to carry umbrellas at the outdoor rally. Temperatures reached the triple digits Sunday as Trump courts voters in the battleground state. Campaign organizers handed out water bottles as supporters waited in line to be screened by security officers. At the venue, large misting fans and cooling tents were placed around the perimeter. Temperatures in the Southwest have cooled since reaching historic highs late last week but remain above normal for this time of year.
