When I took my kid to New Zealand with me on a book-tour, I was delighted to learn that grocery stores had special aisles where all the kids'-eye-level candy had been removed, to minimize nagging. What a great idea!

@pluralistic The only thing I don't like about NZ is the fact that to emigrate after the age 55 you have to invest over $1M in their economy. I don't blame them, but I don't like it.
Everything else I saw and did in three trips (so far) was a complete delight.
...well, I don't like their breakfast sausage or the way the cook bacon...but if I lived there, I could cook the bacon any way I like. Also, I've been told that there is a store in Wellington that offers international specialty meats including the US.
