@foone @thomasfuchs Actually he just came up with the theoretical Turing machine. Tommy Flowers invented the computer during WW2. The BOM also wasn’t a computer.

@cyberspice @foone @thomasfuchs Actually ACTUALLY the computer, as we'd define it today, was invented by Charles Babbage in the 19th century. Though if you want to go purely electronic, the Zuse Z3 still predates Flowers' work. Also it was spelled bombe; BOM means bill of materials (or byte order mark, in the context of file formats and protocols).
