Has anime gotten woke too?
Has anime gotten woke too? - lemmus.org
Zombie Land Saga was obviously the last current anime I saw. I bring it up because the main cast has a prostitute (Yugiri) and a boy in ponytails (Lilyj posing as a girl both posing as moral figures in a Japanese professional field (idol singers) that involves raising the dead or something, led by a zombie sorcerer (Kotaro) who got away with it because his classmate (Sakura) upstaged everyone as an idol singer who became famous by getting killed by a truck and with no criminal investigation whatsoever due to the girls being turned into zombies against their own will by the ‘idol producer’. Yet I was told that it’s just ‘a silly show about idol singers’ and I originally watched the series on Crunchyroll seeing the word ’Zombie’ in the title: think maybe Night of the Living Dead or Dawn of the Dead. Yeah, I basically got none of that in this work. Ultimately, it was the only anime that presumingly stuck with me as a fixation despite not being the right type of content I wanted to pursue, and I ended up stopping watching anime in general because of that show that had an affect on my mental health as well. Has this happened to anybody on here lately?
